Michael Conroy

Roy

Michael graduated from Creighton University with a BFA Theatre Performance degree with a history minor in 2014. Since then, he has been an active performer in the Twin Cities theater scene, having performed in many shows at Lyric Arts, Artistry, and more. Favorite roles from over the years include Arpad in She Loves Me, Hubert in Christmas in the Airwaves, and the titular role in Tartuffe, which was also his thesis project. Michael (does his best to) attend Mass every Sunday at the Church of the Epiphany in Coon Rapids, where he has been a life-long parishioner and participates as a member of the Parish Choir, as a Cantor, and as a wedding singer, upon request and payment. He is also the proud uncle of two nieces and two nephews whom he loves very much.

Elie Laville

Conroy

Elie is 23 years old and loves being outside. He passionate about the true, good, and beautiful. Elie is a snob for whiskey, wine, coffee, and croissants among other things. He got into theatre in the 7th grade and fell in love with it doing an average of 5 shows a year throughout High School. He decided to pursue a BFA in Musical Theatre at University and after two years left to do mission work. He did some work with Sacred Stories last year on screen, and am very pleased to be back on stage with Missed the Boat.

Jeromy Darling

Abbot

Jeromy is an actor and songwriter living in the SW suburbs with her wife of 19 years Gretchen (the only girlfriend he ever had) and 4 kids: Wyatt (12), Wilder (9), Wren (5) and Charlize (18 months). He’s been a full-time actor since 2016 and has starred in numerous stage, film, television and commercial productions, as well as touring the country performing original music in prisons, shelters and halfway houses through his music ministry, The Salvage Project.

Rob Conroy

Br. Solomon

Rob is a life-long Minnesotan spending most of my time in the outer suburbs with Deb, my wife of 33 years. They have two amazing children and four fabulous grandchildren; any activity involving them makes him happy. He has a real soft spot for automobiles from the muscle car era including his ’66 Mustang. Rob loves the change of seasons and choose to embrace winter in all of its cold and blustery glory. After years of supporting family members much more talented than himself, his son, Michael, encouraged him to push outside my comfort zone and he’s glad he did. He is relying on years of performing as a Deejay and emcee and the generous support of the cast to bring life to Solomon.

Ben Stefonowicz

Br. Boniface

Ben is an IT analyst by profession, and a beer/Whiskey snob by confession. He always enjoys catching up over a beer or craft cocktail (RIP Marvel Bar) with friends or family, but generally finds time spent with friends and family doing the things he loves: playing board games, camping, hiking, watching a good movie or cheering on (unsuccessfully) any Minnesota sports team. Talk to Ben once and you might not think he’s a nerd, but scratch below the surface and you might just open that Pandora's box. Ben grew up doing Giant Step Theater as a kid and continued that passion into high school with productions of "Kiss Me Kate", "Hello Dolly", "Thoroughly Modern Millie", and with the highlight being getting to play Lumiere in "Beauty and the Beast." Since that point he’s been on an acting hiatus and am excited to take the stage again in "Moonshine Abbey" and not just because of the moonshine.

Kris Follmer

Br. Lawrence

Kris is husband to Rebekah, Papa to Berend, Mara and Solvej, recovering philosophy, theology and supply chain addict and recently minted crypto nerd. He’s been lead in “Fiddler on the Roof”, “Curculio” and “All I need to know I learned in Kindergarten” (In which it turns out he didn't learn everything he needed to know.) Kris has been in choir most of his life and is a Catholic convert.

Hans Bloedel

Br. Leonard

Hans Bloedel is a theatre artist originally from Mankato, Minnesota, participating in theatre as an actor, writer, and designer. He attained his degree in theatre from Bethany Lutheran College in his hometown, and is making his Twin Cities debut with Missed The Boat! Past roles of his include Algernon Moncrieff in The Importance of Being Earnest; Ali Hakim in Oklahoma!; Bill Calhoun in Kiss Me, Kate; and Poseidon in The Women of Troy. During his time in college, he was nominated for the Kennedy Center’s Irene Ryan audition scholarship, in which he advanced to the semi-final round. His recently published co-adaptation of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow has been produced nationally over 10 times.

Nikelle Morris

Captain

Nikelle just entering a new phase of life after 20 years as a stay-at-home, homeschooling Mom of 3 boys.  Now that her youngest is in high school and is finding more time to pursue some of her favorite activities; singing and acting being at the top of my list! She has been blessed with a loving, funny, and supportive husband for the last 23 years. Nikelle has worked part-time for over 17 years as the Bulletin Editor at St. Vincent de Paul… and was working from home before COVID made it cool! She spent a lot of time volunteering for Holy Spirit Academy, her boys’ high school in Monticello. Mostly recently she’s been fortunate to play Miss Euphemia Andrews in “Mary Poppins” in 2019 and Yente the Matchmaker in “Fiddler on the Roof” in 2005, both roles with Cross Community Players.  Nikelle loved acting since she got my start as the Scarehuman in the 7th grade production of “The Happy Scarecrow” and I’ve loved singing since Julie Andrews taught me to sing “Do-Re-Mi” in the Sound of Music.

Angela Cahill

Ginger

Angela live in Eagan with her husband Luke and our boys Lachlan, (7th gr), Torin (5th gr), Callum (3rd gr), Beccan (1st gr), and little daughter Tressa (3 yro). Angela likes: autumn walks, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, dance parties with Tressa in their living room, creamer with a bit of coffee, watching Her boys play hockey, kombucha, eateries with Luke, and drinks with anyone who's willing to have a drink with her. Angela is so grateful to God for the support to make it possible for her to be in this show, because seriously it takes a village. She is excited to be part of a Missed the Boat production for the second time!

Christina Malloy

Marge

Christina is originally from sunny California and loves adventures and new experiences. She loves to praise the Lord with her voice, guitar, piano, and you can also catch her dancing or playing volleyball. She is down for anything new and exciting. Christina has spent the last three years working for NET Ministries and is now doing youth ministry in the cities and loves it. Minnesota has won her heart! The roles she fell in love with the most that she had the honor to play: Miranda (the Tempest), Helena (A Midsummer Nights Dream), Sally in the national award-winning play Pool '63, performed nationally and in Mexico City, Irene Ryan Award Nominee for Mental Patient in Dracula, and Penelope Pennywise in Urinetown.

Laura Kuschel

Shirley

In 1996, St. Agnes was looking for extra kids to fill in as part of the Joseph (& the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat) cast. A few kids from Holy Childhood were asked to join and that was the start of something incredible! Laura ended up attending St. Agnes for high school and her love for theatre grew under the direction of the renowned David Johnson. In college, she branched out into opera and gained an appreciation for the more classical side of things. She doesn’t even have a preference between the two different art forms; as long as she singing, she’s happy. When Laura saw the Catholic Young Adults production a few years ago, she laughed herself hoarse; she knew that this team of talented Catholics had made something really special and wanted to be a part of it! After 19 years, Laura is so excited to be performing at her alma mater again and is grateful for the opportunity to perform in this new auditorium and share the stage with an amazing group of people. Laura’s theatre experience includes: Mrs. Brill, Mary Poppins; Mrs. Bedwin, Oliver; Bard/Ensemble, Robin Hood, Spirit of the Green; Boylan Sister, Annie

Jen Freden

Barbara

Jen celebrated 50 years right in the middle of rehearsals and thinks it's the perfect way to start off a new decade! She is a native, small-town Northeast Iowan, but has called St. Paul home since 2015. She is a former English teacher and speech/drama coach, and has her own photography business that keeps her crazy busy in the fall! Everyone loves the cooler weather and gorgeous colors in the Midwest! Jen’s first real role on the stage came at the age of 9 and while she remembers being scared to death, she also fell in love. Her most recent work has been off stage though, directing high and community theatre in Iowa and is a judge for the Iowa High School Speech Association which gives her the opportunity to help high school students craft their theatrical and communication skills. Jen has long dreamed of getting into the theatre world of the Twin Cities and am so stoked to be on stage with Missed the Boat Theatre!

J.P. Proper

Pappy

John Paul, who goes by JP most of the time, is 24 years old. He is a mechanical engineer who likes to write music as a hobby. He also takes piano lessons and sings in the church choir. He is making his debut in Moonshine Abbey.

Evy Lois Johnson

Ness

Evy grew up on a cattle ranch on the western prairies of South Dakota. Since her nearest neighbors were a mile away, her love for singing very loudly had very few hindrances. She currently lives in Saint Paul, works for Minnesota Opera as a Patron Services Representative and a Teaching Artist, and substitute teach in a few metro-area public school districts. Her hobbies include distance running, swing dancing, and podcast binging. Evy is thrilled to be joining Missed the Boat Theater for this production of Moonshine Abbey. A South Dakota native, Evy earned her Bachelor of Music Education at South Dakota State University, where she performed the roles of Young Allie in I Married Wyatt Earp, and Ginger in Zombie Prom with State University Theater. She also played Cathy in the Mitchell Area Community Theater production of The Last Five Years. Evy holds a Master of Music degree with a concentration in Opera Theater Performance from the University of South Carolina. During her graduate studies, she performed the roles of Serpetta in Mozart's La Finta Giardiniera, La Fee in Viardot's Cendrillon, Belinda in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, and was a Street Singer in Bernstein's MASS.

Gaby Quillan

Agent 1

Gaby is originally from Miami FL, but has lived in the twin cities for 14 years. She moved here for the weather, spent some time serving with SPO, and for the last 9 years worked for the University of St. Thomas in the Center for Catholic Studies. Now she’s busy working on keeping her 4 wonderful kiddos alive, becoming a better wife to her handsome hubby, Patrick, and also breeding miniature Goldendoodles. Faith, Family, Friends and Furbabies are her world but she also enjoys sandy Florida beaches, fad dieting, hospitality and big celebrations, bridal makeup, anything with gluten and binging standup comedy. Gaby has spent most of her time praying, cleaning, re-cleaning, cursing at the laundry pile, sharing life with neighbors and friends, having daily therapy facetiming sessions with her mom, playing with little minions and puppies, avidly reading self-help books, scrolling through zillow and singing Disney princess songs at the top of her lungs while her kids comment on how embarrassing she is. Typically a hot mess but Jesus loves her and she loves him and lets him into the ugly and He transforms it... and that's all that matters.

Gaby has always been a drama queen and the roles she’s enjoyed performing the most throughout her younger years were Dorothy in Wizard of OZ, Velma in a Chicago number, and Leslie Ayvazian's one-act, High Dive. She is grateful to get to work with such an awesome cast and crew at Moonshine Abbey and has had lots of fun coming back to the therapy that is theater!

Ana Teresa Deliz

Agent 2

Ana Teresa Deliz was born in Puerto Rico, hails from Miami, and was raised with rhythm & music in every step & bongos in hand. Her first musical was the standard kindergarten play and the last one was “Godspell” during her senior year of high school. Most of her time spent on stage has been helping lead worship in various bands, a couple in Miami and a few here (was also in a random folk/hipster band called The Mandos for a minute.) Ana Teresa also lead retreats including, but not limited to: skits, talks and music.

Ana Teresa moved up from Miami to serve in Saint Paul’s Outreach, then a few parishes in Communications followed by youth ministry (somehow found it possible to leave Minnesota) and is now waitressing while she waits for her acting career to take off (kidding). She’s starting a non-profit & waitressing is her day job.

Laura Daily

Young Cop

By day Laura grants wishes at Wishes & More, and by night she’s a Laura-of-all-trades, some of which include attempting to play softball, volleyball and other games, wandering aimlessly in the great outdoors, baking tasty treats, spending time with her loved ones, and learning about/practicing her faith. Laura most dearly hopes and aims to emanate joy and holiness. Laura knows she has a long way to go but trusts in God's grace to help! Throughout her childhood and high school years, Laura performed in community and school productions, including the Wizard of Oz and Les Miserables. After graduating from the University of St. Thomas, returned to the stage as the Very Blonde One in CYA: the Musical, by far her favorite production to have had the honor of acting in! She can't wait to share Moonshine Abbey with the community!

Veronica Kremer

Feminine Cop

Veronica grew up here in the Twin Cities, but went to college "down south" in Iowa! For the last 4 years, she served as a missionary with the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) at different college campuses around the midwest. Veronica loved her time as a missionary, but is also thrilled to be back in Minnesota! She loves coffee, singing and dancing, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with our Lord in prayer! Throughout middle and high school, she was blessed to have all sorts of experiences on- and back-stage. Her favorite roles are the Mother in A Christmas Story and Annie (aka "Six") in Chicago.

Alex Schindler

Backwoods Cop

Alex Schindler is a transplant to the frozen tundra (aka Minnesota) originally from the land of horses and rolling bluegrass hills (aka Louisville, KY). She is the oldest of two and a graduate of Murray State University with a biology/chemistry degree, which does very little for her currently while working as a freelance musician and part-time elementary music teacher at a Catholic school. She was a late-bloomer to the theatre world, joining the ensemble of Titanic: The Musical as a senior in college and joining the ensemble again later that summer for a production of The Music Man. Her Twin Cities theatre debut was as ‘The One with the Broken Leg’ in Missed The Boat Theatre’s first show, Catholic Young Adults: The Musical, and she is excited to be back as part of Moonshine Abbey (and dancing around on two feet without a boot and crutches this time)!

Anna Scherber

Preppy Cop

Anna is 28 years old and is a student in her final semester at Minnesota State University, Mankato studying psychology. She is working at Caribou while doing online classes. Random dance parties, knitting, coffee, and laughter are a few of her love languages! She was in musicals in middle school (one each year 6th-8th grade). She was also in Thoroughly Modern Millie in high school. It’s been awhile since she’s been in a show and she is so excited to be a part of Moonshine Abbey!

Jonathon Wold

Tall Monk

Jonathon is an Architectural Designer at a design build firm, a U of M alumni, and from Wisconsin. This is his first show in over a decade, but in high school he was very involved in both cast and crew for musicals, plays, forensics, and community theatre.

Louis Wilder

Curly Hair Monk

Louis is 27 years old. He lives and works in Faribault, MN while training to be a cmm programmer; previous theater productions include CYA, the little mermaid, and The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe; a sour beer; monk because living in community has such a strong appeal.
