The Matchmaker

written by Thornton Wilder
directed by Samantha Wend Vargo

June 19-28, 2025
Helene Houle Auditorium at Saint Agnes School

“Isn't the world full of wonderful things?”

In this show for all ages, matchmaker Dolly Gallagher Levi heads into town with wealthy merchant Horace Vandergelder to help him find a new wife. His clerks and niece seize the opportunity to pursue their own adventures behind his back, leading to unexpected encounters, mistaken identities, and the reminder that even the biggest city is smaller than you might think. You’ll be swept away to 1880s New York with these delightful characters on a journey of self discovery, and might even learn something about yourself amidst all the laughs!

The Matchmaker is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. www.concordtheatricals.com
