About the Workshop:
Have you considered auditioning for a musical, but felt unsure of what song to audition with? Or have you walked away from an audition feeling like you didn’t showcase your abilities well? Join us for a workshop, taught by Samantha Laumann, Musical Theatre Professor for the University of Minnesota School of Music and Theatre. She’ll teach you how to pick a selection based on the show and/or character you’re auditioning for and how to prepare for and present your song in an audition. Afterward, she’ll provide personalized feedback on each student’s singing or on their audition selection, to help strengthen their audition material.
Come with a song in mind for an upcoming audition, or with multiple options if you want help choosing!
This workshop is scheduled to help prepare for auditions for our upcoming musical, Moonshot. You are welcome to sign up whether you're auditioning for that particular show or not!
This is a stand-alone workshop, but can be bundled with our Musical Theatre Vocal Technique course, also taught by Samantha Laumann. If you would also like to take the three week course, you must register for both ON THE CLASS PAGE to get the bundled price.
