New Works Festival

Staged readings of brand new shows.

In 2025, Missed the Boat Theatre hosted its first New Works Festival, which consisted of four staged readings in Saint Paul, MN. From over 100 submissions to a packed house for the performances, it is clear that there is great need for a space for Catholic Christian artists to share their original work.

    Submission period for play scripts April 1-30

    Review phase by panel of judges May 1-31

  • June 1st

    Winners notified & Festival date announced (on or before June 1st)

    Pairing of directors and playwrights & scheduling conversations
