Meet our new Community Coordinator, Laura Kuschel!

From the moment Laura Kuschel first stepped onstage to audition for Moonshine Abbey, we could tell she was a gem. Though Laura is one of the kindest, most joyful women you will ever meet, we stretched her acting skills by casting her in the role of Shirley, “the bully cop.” As director, most of my notes to Laura were, “Smile less,” and, “Look meaner!”

Last fall, Laura served in a more humble yet critically important capacity as our Box Office Manager for Sense and Sensibility. Her admin skills, warm personality, and infectious joy made her a tremendous success in that role. We can’t thank you enough, Laura!

This January, we invited Laura to serve in a new, profoundly important volunteer role with Missed the Boat Theatre. Our first Community Coordinator, she will serve those who have participated in the cast, crew, and production teams of our previous shows, by sending updates, planning community events, and generally being the glue that holds us together between productions!

Laura, we are so grateful to have you!! Welcome aboard. We know you’re going to nail this one.

Laura Kuschel, Community Coordinator

Thanks to the Holy Childhood Church choir and St. Agnes High School musicals, Laura gained a special love for music and the arts from a young age. One of her strongest desires recently has been to find opportunities that combine her faith and love for the arts. When she stumbled upon Missed the Boat Theatre, she found the connection she had been dreaming of; a talented group that sings, plays, & prays together! Laura is excited to join this amazing team and looks forward to helping MtBT grow as a community.
